Objectives:
- to strengthen the assessment of herring stocks in the North Sea and west of Scotland by continuing the surveys and improving the data obtained from these surveys.
The aims are to continue the international coordinated herring acoustic survey, the international coordinated larval survey, the establishment of an international database for acoustic data and biological sampling data from the hydroacoustic survey and to further develop the international database for herring larval data.
